Proof of insurance is a State of Ohio requirement. Proof of insurance may be shown with a form signed by your insurance agent, the face sheet of your policy that state the limits of liability, effective dates, and the car you were driving at the time of the ticket.

PROOF OF INSURANCE MUST BE SHOWN FOR THE DATE ON WHICH YOU RECEIVED THE TICKET. The Court is required to notify the State of Ohio, Bureau of Motor Vehicles if proof of insurance was NOT shown.
